Nate Douglas

Nate Douglas is a student at the University of Florida studying information systems and operations management with a specialization in data science, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Resource Economics in May 2023. In 2020, Nate became the youngest elected official in Florida, serving as Vice Chair of the Orange Soil and Water Conservation District. As an advocate, Nate continues to fight for environmental justice and LGBTQ+ rights, he is a co-founder of Orlando Sunrise Movement, a youth-led climate activism group.

As the child of first generation working class immigrants from France and Jamaica, Nate understands the importance of intersectionality and the struggle for equity of all marginalized communities. He is excited to advance PRISM’s mission to make sure everyone feels included in their community, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

During his free time, Nate enjoys hiking, traveling, reading, and advocating for climate justice and LGBTQ+ rights.
